Monuments Simons Lost for Year
Wednesday, August 8th, 2057
When Henry Simons was hurt against the Cape Canaveral Launch, the Washington Monuments were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 29-year-old reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Simons would miss 11 months of the season.

To this point in the season he has had 2 saves. Simons has made 43 relief appearances, tossed 37.1 innings and struck out 41 with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses.
