Saturday, July 29th , 2073
José Rojas may be retiring from professional baseball, but don't expect him to sit still.
The Laredo Border Jumpers reliever today announced that this season will be his last. But at age 36, he still has big plans for the future.
"I'm looking forward to traveling and seeing the world outside of Pioneers of the Diamond parks. I also want to start taking up some new hobbies and maybe start up a new business, too," he said. "I'm going to enjoy my retirement."
Since breaking into the league, Rojas has compiled a 88-111 mark, pitched in 458 games, been credited with 16 saves and amassed a 4.94 ERA. He has 1764 strikeouts in 1626.1 innings pitched.
