3-HR Game for Alvarrdo Saturday, July 16th , 2067 Newark first baseman Javier Alvarrdo blasted three homers today at Falcons Field in the 9-7 Falcons victory over the Keg Creek Coyotes. For the game, Javier Alvarrdo scored 3 times and knocked in 6 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Alvarrdo when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-4, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Alvarrdo told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Javier Alvarrdo struck out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Gerald Casey in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Gerald Casey in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Wilson Espinosa in the 8th. Thus far this season Alvarrdo is hitting .240 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 6 hits in 25 at-bats and has played in 10 games. |
