Collins Sizzles, Amarillo Fizzles Thursday, July 16th , 2065 The Amarillo Chicken Haulers had no answer today for Newark Falcons pitcher Ron Collins. They failed to score a single run against him, losing 5-0. Amarillo managed only 5 hits off Collins, who had 16 strikeouts. The extraordinarily popular Collins got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd. "Falcons fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
