O'Murphy Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games

John O'Murphy's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The Amarillo shortstop smacked 2 hits against the Newark Falcons in today's game at Falcons Field, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Chicken Haulers drop the game, 5-0.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." John O'Murphy grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
This season O'Murphy is batting .318 with 11 home runs. His totals include 41 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
