Redstone Becker Gets the Cycle Friday, August 26th, 2039 "Some days everything falls in place and you have an almost perfect day." Those were the comments from Redstone first baseman Bobby Becker today as his 4-5 day included the cycle, a baseball rarity. "He sure was a wrecking ball today," said one teammate after the Ridge Raptors tamed the Mashers 5-2 at Vargas Field. Bobby Becker singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Harlan Mason in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. To date, Becker has collected 135 hits for a .254 average. He has posted 38 home runs, scored 82 runs and driven in 101 runs. |
