Redstone-Mexico City Brawl, Ortíz and Vázquez Suspended Monday, September 29th, 2059 Fred Ortíz of the Redstone Ridge Raptors and Santiago Vázquez of the Mexico City Diablos will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Ridge Raptors-Diablos game at The Raptor's Nest. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Ortíz and Vázquez will begin serving them soon. During the current season Ortíz is batting at a .273 clip with 9 home runs and 70 RBIs. He has played in 128 games and scored 70 times. To this point in the season, Vázquez shows a 6-0 record, 14 starts, 91.1 innings, 54 strikeouts and a 4.04 ERA. |
