Bearers Stymie Reading, Take 7-1 Win Monday, September 29th, 2059 The St. Paul Bearers topped the Reading Railbirds by the score of 7-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Randolph Curtis. Curtis was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs for the Bearers on the day. St. Paul is now riding a 3-game win streak. In the top of the 6th, right fielder Adrian Hawkins gave St. Paul the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Bearers had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out double off Reading pitcher Julián Ortíz changed that -- and St. Paul went on to win.
