Carter Joins Kings of Clout with #400
Friday, October 3rd, 2059
It was a historic day for Richmond's fine first baseman Jason Carter. He slammed home run number 400 in the Ravens 11-9 loss to the Keg Creek Coyotes at Battle Field.
He told reporters after the game that he was disappointed in losing the game. "It's great to get that many homers, but I don't play for homers -- I play to win. That's the name of the game."
In his milestone-making game Carter went 2 for 3, scored 1 run and collected 1 run batted in. That home run put him in a select group of ballplayers.
In his career Carter has racked up 1707 hits with a .303 average and .387 on-base percentage. His numbers include 240 doubles, 6 triples, and 400 home runs, along with 861 runs scored and 1108 RBIs.
