Costa Cracks 5 Hits Saturday, October 12th, 2047 It was a hits blitz for Rubén Costa at The Cornfield. The Iowa Crop Circles third baseman tore into Glacier Bay for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Crop Circles to a 15-2 victory and to put up a career day. The manager for the Ice Pirates bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Costa, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Rubén Costa singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
