Monday, July 11th , 2072
A hot-hitting week got Mark Armstrong the Appalachian Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers.
The Cape Canaveral first baseman slammed them for a .450 average, 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 6 runs.
In the postgame press conference, Armstrong shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that."
Armstrong on the season is batting .295 with 25 home runs. His totals include 55 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 74 games.
