Lake Monsters End Ortíz's Streak Sunday, May 28th, 2062 The 22-game hitting streak of Luis Ortíz has come to an end. The Honolulu High Tide right fielder went 0-for-4 today in his team's 5-3 loss to the Vermont Lake Monsters at Welsh Field. "It's not just Luis who came up short today," High Tide manager Vacant GM said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." For the season Ortíz is currently batting .310 with 9 home runs and 35 RBIs. In 52 games he has reached base at a .359 rate and scored 40 runs to date. |
