Stanford Records Shutout Against Revolution
Saturday, September 14th, 2052
Today was Lonnie Stanford's turn in the rotation for the Crab Apple Cove Mashers and he made the most of it, shutting out the Boston Revolution on 3 hits.

The 29-year-old right-hander led the Mashers to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing 1 walk and tallying 11 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Boston manager Jason Krausert said. "Stanford certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

Thus far this season Stanford has posted a 10-4 record, started 17 games, struck out 148 batters in 127.2 innings and compiled a 2.33 ERA.
