Honolulu-Orlando Trade: O'Gill for Ch'oe Sunday, July 8th , 2068 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Honolulu High Tide and Orlando Rum Runners finalized a trade today. Honolulu will send 29-year old C Dan O'Gill to the Rum Runners, while the High Tide will receive 20-year old minor league RHP Artie McKinery and 20-year old minor league SS Hye-min Ch'oe. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," High Tide general manager Mark Sambor said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. O'Gill is hitting .237 for the season with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 38 hits in 160 at-bats and played in 52 games. |
