Frontier Names Erwin Best Batter Monday, June 21st , 2066 26-year-old Dave Erwin sent shock waves through Pioneers of the Diamond last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Frontier Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Erwin made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .625 average, 10 hits in 16 at-bats, 1 home run and 4 runs batted in. Where the Reading Railbirds right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Erwin certainly made his mark last week. This season Erwin is hitting at a .300 pace with 10 home runs, 38 RBIs and has scored 31 times. |
