Moreno's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Thursday, June 19th , 2064 Lupe Moreno continued his streak at BackWet Stadium today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Laredo right fielder was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Border Jumpers were not as fortunate, losing 5-3 to the Crab Apple Cove Mashers. "Moreno was hitting everything we threw at him," said Crab Apple Cove manager Vacant GM. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Lupe Moreno flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. This season Moreno is hitting .319 with 84 hits, 5 home runs, 30 RBIs, scored 45 runs and played in 63 games. |
