Foster, Thornton Suspended for Fracas Saturday, July 22nd, 2056 If there wasn't a history between Christian Foster of Honolulu and David Thornton of Minneapolis, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Foster said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." On the year Foster has hit .266 with 17 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 50 runs. To date this season Thornton has compiled a 8-6 record with a 3.39 ERA in 20 starts. |
