Cuervo-Coyotes Trade: Hawkins for Mitchell Tuesday, July 31st , 2068 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the San Jose Cuervo and Keg Creek Coyotes finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends San Jose's 28-year old 1B Donald Hawkins to Keg Creek in a swap for 23-year old minor league RHP Dave Mitchell and a 3rd round draft pick. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. This year Hawkins has hit at a .249 clip with 59 RBIs, 12 home runs and 41 runs scored. |
