Gloves Found, Harle Rejoices Wednesday, July 14th , 2066 A while back we brought you the story of the poor Death Valley Burn's catcher who was honestly devastated by the loss of his lucky college batting gloves. Today, the gloves suddenly turned up in the strangest of places. Said teammate, Will Turner, "I found them in my underwear drawer...seriously. As soon as I found them, I got them back to Kevin. I didn't even ask for a finder's fee and besides, I couldn't wait to get rid of them - they really stank." No details on how the gloves got in Turner's underwear drawer and perhaps that is for the best. For his part, Kevin Harle was ecstatic. Telling the Death Valley Observer, "I put them on right away - it felt so good to have them back. I can't wait to get back out there and face pitching again with these on." |
