Vásquez Slams 5 Hits for Honolulu Wednesday, July 21st , 2066 Fans at Champagne of Beers Field got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Honolulu High Tide outplayed the Amarillo Chicken Haulers en route to a 12-7 win, but the standout was left fielder Pancho Vásquez. Vásquez netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Chicken Haulers manager James Walker said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Pancho Vásquez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.
