AP Selects Rookie Star of the Month Tuesday, September 1st, 2054 Manny Reyes earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the Appalachian for last month's performance. The boyish Newark first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Reyes hit .340 with 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and 19 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. This year Reyes is batting .287 with 28 home runs and 83 RBIs. In 130 games he has scored 62 times. |
