Gonzalo Gredillas Shelved by Injury Monday, July 21st , 2064 Gonzalo Gredillas at first refused to leave today's Orlando-Richmond game after he suffered a hand contusion while being hit by a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Richmond first baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Gredillas out of action for one week. So far this season Gredillas is hitting .365 with 30 home runs, 76 RBIs and 72 runs scored. He has 124 hits in 340 at-bats and a .453 OBP. |
