The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Jail Break catcher Kent Trumble. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Before this season, the Jail Break had made the playoffs 4 times in a row. In the 59 years they have been a Pioneers of the Diamond franchise, they have made the playoffs 29 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Jail Break have missed the playoffs 2 times.
