Cole Torches Revolution for 5 Hits
Wednesday, September 14th , 2072
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Reading's 11-8 win over Boston, second baseman William Cole was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Jackie Robinson Place.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Cole said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
William Cole singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
On the season, Cole is batting .322 with 6 home runs and 46 RBIs. He has played in 92 games.
