Rehab Road Tough For Falcons Alfonso Lerma Monday, September 24th, 2040 The Newark Falcons received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Alfonso Lerma would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Lerma, who is currently out with a sprained ankle, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 23-year-old center fielder will have to spend another 1-2 weeks in treatment. For the season Lerma has hit .286 with 7 home runs and 37 RBIs. He has played in 87 games and scored 38 times. |
