Maulers Mysterious Walker Swings Hot Bat, AP Winner
Monday, September 18th , 2073
23-year-old Mysterious Walker sent shock waves through Pioneers of the Diamond last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Appalachian Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Walker made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .524 average, 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run and 3 RBI.
Where the Minneapolis Maulers second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Walker certainly made his mark last week.
So far this year in 130 games, Walker is hitting .296 with 3 home runs, 38 RBIs and 86 runs scored.
