Gonzáles Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Tuesday, July 19th, 2061 Carlos Gonzáles continued his streak at MacLaren Stadium today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Ozark first baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Outlaws were not as fortunate, losing 12-3 to the Minneapolis Maulers. "Gonzáles was hitting everything we threw at him," said Minneapolis manager Trevor Derr. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Carlos Gonzáles hit a solo-shot off Pete Bathgate in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Gonzáles has hit at a .322 clip with 67 RBIs, 15 home runs and 45 runs scored. |
