Stanley Slaps 5 Hits
Friday, July 22nd, 2061
The Boston Revolution stopped the Crab Apple Cove Mashers by a score of 10-8 at Vargas Field today, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Jamal Stanley. The 31-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Stanley said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Stanley did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Mashers.

"Not much that I can say," offered Crab Apple Cove manager Alan Hounsell. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Jamal Stanley hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and struck out in the 10th.

This season Stanley is batting .330 with no home runs.
