Burn Reliever Cops Pitching Award
Thursday, September 1st , 2067
In August, the premier pitcher in the Frontier was a reliever. It does happen, but not often. The Death Valley Burn fine bullpen ace, John Gates stood out some much that he was picked the outstanding Pitcher of the Month by the Frontier.

The Death Valley reliever was extraordinary with 11 saves in 12 relief appearances, a 1-0 won-lost mark and 0.00 ERA. He worked 14 innings, allowed 6 hits, struck out 10 and walked 4.

So far this season, Gates has a 5-8 won-lost record with 34 saves. He has made 55 relief appearances, logged 68 innings and fanned 75 batters while fashioning a 3.18 ERA and allowing the opposition a .226 batting average.
