Justin Baker took Pioneers of the Diamond by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 26.
For his spectacular campaign, the Vermont Emperor Penguins star has been named the 2057 Appalachian Diamond Hammer Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the center fielder.
On the season he compiled a .317 batting average to go with a .385 on-base percentage. The native of Sheffield Lake, Ohio also added 5 doubles, 5 triples, 64 home runs, 154 RBIs and 121 runs scored.
He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 28. Joe Gray of the Vermont Emperor Penguins finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Ben Boxer of the Minneapolis Maulers finished third.
