5 Hits for Comrades García Wednesday, September 9th , 2065 It was high-fives all around for José García at The Ballpark at Habanos Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Alcatraz Island Jail Break. García smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 11-10 win. "José was hitting everything," said Comrades manager Bryce Marquis. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Jail Break manager Justin Fusco told BNN beat writers that García "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, García oversleeps next time." José García hit a two-run home run off Chris Mitchell in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 11th, grounded out in the 14th and doubled in the 16th. For the season García is currently batting .319 with 17 home runs and 70 RBIs. In 131 games he has reached base at a .371 rate and scored 62 runs to date.
