Gregg Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, September 11th , 2065 Harvey Gregg continued his streak at Jackie Robinson Place today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Reading third baseman was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Railbirds were not as fortunate, losing 5-1 to the Boston Revolution. "Gregg was hitting everything we threw at him," said Boston manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Harvey Gregg flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. So far on the season Gregg is hitting .304 with 26 home runs, 100 RBIs and 81 runs scored. He has 157 hits and played in 126 games. |
