Ward Selected AP's Top Pitcher Sunday, November 15th, 2048 25-year-old Nate Ward of the Minneapolis Maulers put together a good year in 2048 for such a young player. Ward was named today as the winner of the Appalachian Diamond Heater Award. Ward crafted an impressive 21-9 record and a 2.42 ERA. In 257 innings he allowed 200 hits, struck out 304, and walked 36. Keith Campbell of the Michigan Militia finished second in voting, while Ángel Sierra of the Keg Creek Coyotes finished third. |
