Laredo Border Jumpers Ship Balli to Glacier Bay Monday, November 24th, 2042 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Laredo and Glacier Bay as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 31-year-old closer Bento Balli and 24-year-old reliever Calvin Gregory to the Ice Pirates and 27-year-old first baseman Mark Baker, 25-year-old first baseman Gilbert Brewer, 24-year-old minor league center fielder Chris Austin, 27-year-old minor league center fielder Ramón Romero, 23-year-old minor league left fielder Ryan Lee and a 3rd round draft pick to the Border Jumpers. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Glacier Bay GM. Balli has 217 saves over his career with a 36-46 record and a 3.48 ERA. |
