Death Valley Celebrates Wild Card Win Saturday, October 1st , 2072 The Death Valley Burn have thrilled their fan base by securing a late-season wild card berth. The team's playoff future was certainly not a foregone conclusion, as the Burn battled to find a place in the postseason. "We never lost faith, I think that's key," said starting pitcher Raúl Adame. "Even when things got rough, people in our clubhouse believed we were going to win." With their record sitting at 89-72, the Burn will try to build on their success to win the 2nd Pioneers of the Diamond championship in team history. |
