League Issues Clay 3-Game Suspension
Thursday, September 6th , 2068
David Clay of the Comrades has been suspended by the league commissioner's office for 3 games for his animated argument with a home plate umpire in yesterday's contest with the St. Paul Bearers at The Ballpark at Habanos Stadium. In the heated confrontation the Havana catcher pointed to where the ball was and repeatedly pointed his finger in the ump's face and apparently made some contact. That's when he got ejected.
Reached for comment on the suspension, Clay said, "I guess I'll have to learn how to not talk with my hands. They are a dangerous weapon according to the umpires."
Thus far this year Clay has hit .160 with 3 home runs and 25 RBIs.
