Everything went the way of the San Jose Cuervo, who not only came away with the 7-6 victory over Iowa, but also held Alvarrdo hitless in 5 at-bats to put an end to his 20-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Alvarrdo said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." This season Alvarrdo has hit 9 home runs and posted a .281 batting average. |
