Ridin' High: Ritchie Hits for Cycle Monday, September 23rd, 2058 Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Ron Ritchie's day was a special one. The right fielder hit for the cycle to spark the San Jose Cuervo to a 10-9 victory over the Reading Railbirds at Crack House today. San Jose manager San Jose GM said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Ritchie in particular. "Ron caught me by surprise today," he said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it." For the day, Ritchie finished with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Ron Ritchie hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Hoyt Murphy in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
