Holmes and Soto Suspended for Free-for-All Wednesday, October 1st , 2070 After an intense confrontation, both the Aces Dan Holmes and the Coyotes Santiago Soto were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Atlantic City-Keg Creek game. Dan Holmes will miss 4 games, while Santiago Soto was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Dan Holmes commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Holmes is hitting .164 with 28 hits, 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 21 runs. This year Soto has a 7-8 mark in 21 starts with a 5.50 ERA. He has given up 122 hits in 124.1 innings, struck out 142 and issued 58 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .261 batting average against him. |
