The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Lake Monsters have missed the playoffs 30 times in their 48 years as a Pioneers of the Diamond franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2059. In the last 10 seasons, the Lake Monsters have missed the playoffs 5 times. Vermont has won the Round 3 4 times in their history. |
