Shepard Rewarded with 2058 FR Diamond Hammer Award
Monday, November 18th, 2058
At the age of 24, Donovan Shepard of the Death Valley Burn could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2058 was good enough to win the right fielder the Frontier Diamond Hammer Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .424 batting average this year, as well as a .450 on-base percentage. He played 150 games and racked up 267 hits, 48 doubles, 6 triples, 26 home runs, 131 RBIs and 147 runs scored.
He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 28. Tim Shepherd of the Death Valley Burn finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Rafael Taváres of the Laredo Border Jumpers finished third with 3 first place votes.
