Keg Creek-West Island Trade: Smart for Wells Sunday, December 23rd , 2074 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Keg Creek Coyotes have swapped 23-year old minor league 2B Tim Smart, 19-year old minor league LHP Luis Soto, 19-year old minor league 3B Jeffrey Ritter, 17-year old minor league SS Mike le Guen, 17-year old minor league SS Juan Gómez, 18-year old minor league 2B Pedro Martínez, 17-year old minor league RHP Erik Ransom, a 1st round draft pick, and a 2nd round draft pick to the West Island Storm for 32-year old RHP Tad Hughes, 26-year old 1B Ken Wells, and 26-year old LF Freddie Allen. The Coyotes GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." In his career, Wells has hit .250 with 629 hits, 137 home runs, 364 RBIs and scored 341 runs. |
