Jail Break Heading to Round 2 Monday, October 9th, 2062 The Alcatraz Island Jail Break didn't hold back their excitement after beating the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates in the Round 1 tonight. Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 7-2 win moving the club on to the Round 2, clinching a 4-2 series win in front of the Liquor Luge crowd. "This isn't the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a Round 3, so it's an important step," said Sherman Petersen as he took a break from celebrating. "Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on." Petersen was named series MVP, as he hit .435 with a .458 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 4 runs. On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Ice Pirates sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching Alcatraz Island celebrate. The Alcatraz Island Jail Break will play against the St. Paul Bearers in the next round. St. Paul won their series against the Laredo Border Jumpers 4 games to 1.
