Round 2 Goes the Distance, Flint Mound Prevails Wednesday, September 16th , 2065 The Flint Mound Raiders are heading to the Round 3, having narrowly defeated the Raleigh Red Terrors. Flint Mound edged Raleigh in the series 4-3, with a win at Ballpark of Chesapeake in the clinching game by a 4-2 margin. Sherman Petersen turned in a strong offensive performance for the Raiders and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 3 win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Petersen continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .400 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 10 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Flint Mound Raiders will play against the Boy Town Clients in the next round. Boy Town won their series against the Dayton Diamonds 4 games to 2.
