Wood Takes Best Bat Award in May Saturday, June 1st , 2069 Jon Wood has a lot going for him. The Mankato second baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Pacific League has just picked him as its top hitter for May. In 26 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .321 with 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Presently Wood is batting .340 with 14 home runs and 53 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 46 times. |
