Juans Come up Short of Playoffs Friday, August 15th, 2059 Members of the Don Juans are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said first baseman Alberto Mota. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." Don last appeared in the postseason in 2057. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 30 times in their 35-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Juans have missed the playoffs 6 times. |
