Kobayashi Batters Newark for 5 Hits Thursday, September 14th, 2062 Minoru Kobayashi really sizzled at the plate in today's 11-4 win over Falcons. The Honolulu third baseman blistered Newark for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Kobayashi was too tough to get out today," the Falcons skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Minoru Kobayashi singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Alonso Bernal in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
