Blaze Ruíz Gone for Year Saturday, June 16th, 2063 The doctors have spoken and Luis Ruíz of the Buena Vista Blaze didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ruíz sustained his season-ending injury during the Hell HellFire game yesterday at Steelhawks Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Buena Vista medical staff reported Ruíz had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months. In 2 starts this year Ruíz has crafted a 0-3 record and a 8.66 ERA. |
