Hits Galore: Ávila Drills 5 Hits Friday, April 26th , 2075 The Ottawa Lynx stopped the Yellowknife Wolverines by a score of 17-4 at Severance Grounds, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Pedro Ávila. The 21-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Ávila said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Ávila did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Wolverines. "Not much that I can say," offered Yellowknife manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Pedro Ávila singled in the 1st, struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
