Whitfield Rips 3 Homers Against Phooey Sunday, July 1st , 2074 Saint Paul Rovers catcher Dustin Whitfield left the Hong Kong pitching staff in ruins at Rovers Ballpark, beating the Phooey, 13-12, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Whitfield told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Saint Paul catcher had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 4 runs. Dustin Whitfield hit a solo-shot off Mark Hogan in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Jiménez in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jesús Jiménez in the 8th and walked in the 10th.
